Well i have never blogged before but here it goes. My name is Dean Elison although it may appear as David on the records for the class. My full name is David Dean Elison but i go by Dean. Its a little different going by my middle name i always tend to confuse the teacher on the first or third week of school. I currently live in Burley and i commute to the CSI campus four days a week. I am in my third semester at CSI and i am looking forward to an interesting semester. There isn't much unusual about me i hope but then again being different is generally a good thing. I guess my main hobby is painting or drawing or photography or gym work. But in reality there really isn't much time for any of those things except the gym which i use as a natural way of relieving stress. (Its an endorphin thing.) I really enjoy most aspects of graphic and web design and yes i even quite like the html and CSS. In fact in my spare time i am always reading up on current trends in programming and where things are heading. (by the way i am a little concerned with the controversy over the new javascript standards being developed). But that aside i have actually looked forward to learning javascript because I'm hoping it will connect some dots in the web world. As far as my expectations for this course i want to learn not only about javascript and dhtml code but also how everything else connects to web design such as SQL, PHP, what is RUBY, and if possible what are SPRY menus in Dreamweaver. A general overview of what the different languages are and how they fit into being a web developer would really help with my understanding of everything else.

Hi Dean
It’s very nice to meet you.
I am like you and have never blogged before, but I am going to give it my best.
I am from Declo, but I am doing my classes online. I am sure that it won't be long and I will have to go to Twin unless Burley does more here. Some satellite classes would even help.
I wish I had more time to stay up to date on what is coming up. I know as far as the sites they are changing all the time. For now I am going to try to learn as much as I can in class.
Good Luck to you this semester and in all your courses.
Carla
Hey Dean!
Good to have more classes with you this semester. I'll have to look into your advice on the getting active to relieve stress bit. I think I have enough stress to power the Internets all by myself sometimes! =)
"i want to learn not only about javascript and dhtml code but also how everything else connects to web design such as SQL, PHP, what is RUBY, and if possible what are SPRY menus in Dreamweaver." Yowza. Those are some pretty hefty goals there. I think you're on the right track if you know most of those even exist!
